Overwhelmed by Tasks? Here’s How I Get Organized Fast.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, nine-to-fiver, or a creative, you’ve probably had a great idea at the wrong time. Maybe it came to you while driving, waiting in line, or mid-conversation. The challenge is less about having ideas and more about holding onto them long enough to use them.

Here’s a quick system I use to stay organized and actually make use of the things that pop into my head:

  1. Phone Notes for the immediate stuff
Your phone is always with you, so use it as your first stop. Jot down that idea, to-do list, or important detail as soon as it comes up. Don’t overthink formatting, just get it written down.

  2. OneNote for ongoing projects
Once you’ve had a chance, transfer the important notes into OneNote. I use it to manage projects, keep track of progress, and connect those quick thoughts to the bigger picture. It’s where short notes become actionable plans.

  3. Pinterest for inspiration
Not every idea needs to turn into a project right away. Some are just seeds for later. Pinterest is where I save visuals, links, and inspiration so I can revisit them when I need fresh energy or a new angle.

By moving notes from “right now” to “in progress” to “inspiration for later,” you create a system that catches ideas before they disappear and puts them where you’ll actually use them.

This system changed my life when it comes to organization, both personally and in work environments.

I hope it can spark your organizational spirit too!

Joanna
